Microsoft to offer free classes and certification testing
According to the Seattle Times, Microsoft is offering up to 1 million vouchers for eLearning courses and some certification exams.

I think this is great.  I know Microsoft has had to negatively affect a number of lives, many of which are in the Seattle-Redmond area (where I live) and this is a great way to help people without jobs (and those with jobs) learn more about their technologies in an effort to grow their skills -- hopefully leading to new opportunities in the business world.

You can read more about this on Microsoft's new website: http://www.microsoft.com/ElevateAmerica  You'll see this site includes basic tech/computer skills.  Likely this content is well below your level (I'm making assumptions about my readership here).
